SUBJECT: PARKS AND RECREATION COMMISSION ACTIONS-MEETING OF
OCTOBER 21 ,2015
RECOMMENDATION:
The City Council is requested to receive and file the Parks and Recreation Comm ission
actions from their meeting of October 21 , 20 15.
BACKGROUND:
On October 21 , 2015 , the Parks and Recreation Comm ission held their regularly
sc heduled meeting .
ANALYSIS:
Following is a summary of actions taken at the October 21 , 2015 Parks and Recreation
Commission meeting :
1 . ROLL CALL:

2 . CONSENT CALENDAR
The Parks and Recreation Commission approved the minutes of the June 17 ,
2015 and August 19, 2015 meetings; and received and filed the monthly reports
for August and September 2015 .

3. UNF IN ISHED BUSINESS
A. UPDATE ON THE LIVE OAK PARK AND TEMPLE CITY PARK FACILITY
MASTER PLANS
The Commission received an update on the Live Oak Park and Temple City
Park Facility Master Plans including d iscussion and recommendations by the
City Council.
4 . NEW BUSINESS
A. APPOINTMENT OF COMMISSIONERS TO SPORTS AD HOC COMMITTEE
The Parks and Recreation Comm iss ion re-establ ished the Sports Ad Hoc
Comm ittee and appo inted Commissioners Baroldi and Georgina to the
committee . The purpose of the Sports Ad Hoc Committee is to meet with
representatives of t he local sports o rganizations that use the facilities at Live
Oak Pa rk to discuss issues and concerns from the City and the organizations .
5 . MATTERS FROM CITY OFFICIALS
A. The Commiss ion rece ived the Parks and Recreation Director's Report for
October 2015 .
CITY STRATEGIC GOALS:
Approva l of the Commission actions of October 2 1, 2015 furthers the City's Strategic
Goals of C itizen Education and Communication .

This item does not have an impact on the Fiscal Year (FY) 20 15-16 City Budge t.
