3. NEW BUSINESS
A. TRAFFIC CIRCULATION PROGRAM FOR LONGDEN ELEMENTARY
SCHOOL
Traffic Engi neer Mellissa Demirci from Tra nstech delivered the presentation
regardi ng a proposed pil ot t raffic circulat ion program to address traffic
circulat ion issues during drop -o ff and pick-up of students at Longden
Elementary School. T he proposed measures included restrict ing turning
movements and parking around the schoo l during drop-off and pick-up
hours .
Comm iss ioner Redmond m ade a motion t hat the Transportation and Public
Safety Commission approve the implementation of the pi lot traffic circulation
program. The motion was seconded by Cha i rman Clift and unanimously
carried.
4. UNF IN ISHED BUS INESS
A. SURVEY OF STREET SWEEP IN G ON C UL-DE -S ACS
Management Ana lyst And rew Coyne del ivered the presentation regard i ng
staff's su rv ey of the street sweep ing schedu le on the City 's cui-de-sacs . Staff
recomme nded that the c urrent street sweeping schedule be maintained,
while adding additiona l sig nage to cui-de-sacs that have both sides of the
street swept on the same day , in order to better alert drivers to the parking
restrict ions .
Vice C ha irman Nimri made a motion that the Transportation and Public
Safety Commission app rove staff's recommendation . The motion was
seco nde d by Commiss io ner Blatt and una n imous ly carried .
