AN APPROPRIATION ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 81-1998, WHICH AUTHORIZED THE SUBMITTAL, ACCEPTANCE, AND APPROPRIATION OF A GRANT FROM THE U.S. DEPARTMENT OF JUSTICE
WHEREAS, Ordinance No. 81-1998 authorized the submittal, acceptance, and appropriation of grant from the U.S. Department of Justice; and
WHEREAS, said grant was to be used by the Richmond Police Department for the purchase of eleven (11) portable radios and two (2) video cameras; and
WHEREAS, additional grant funding was awarded; and
WHEREAS, the Richmond Police department desires to utilize the funds received for the purchase of ten (10) portable radios and three (3) video cameras; and
WHEREAS, it is necessary to amend Ordinance No. 81-1998.
NOW, THEREFORE, be it ordained by the Common Council of the City of Richmond, Indiana, that Ordinance No. 81-1998 is hereby amended to read as follows:
The Richmond Police Department is hereby authorized to submit a grant application to the U.S. Department of Justice for the purchase of ten (10) portable radios and three (3) video cameras.
The Richmond Police Department is authorized to accept said grant funding in an amount up to Eighteen Thousand Five Hundred Seventy-three Dollars ($18,573.00).
Said funds shall be appropriated for the purchase of ten (10) portable radios and three (3) video cameras.
Passed and adopted this 16th day of November, 1998, by the Common Council of the City of Richmond, Indiana.
