RESOLUTION NO. 15 -8904
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE
CITY OF OPA- LOCKA, FLORIDA, AUTHORIZING
THE CITY MANAGER TO ISSUE A REQUEST FOR
PROPOSALS (RFP) FOR SHUTTLE BUS SERVICES IN
THE CITY; PROVIDING FOR INCORPORATION OF
RECITALS; PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE
WHEREAS, the City of Opa -locka entered into Agreements with Limousines of
South Florida, Inc., to provide Shuttle Bus services for the residents of the City; and
WHEREAS, the City Commission of the City of Opa -locka wishes to have
issued an Request for Proposals (RFP) for Shuttle Bus Services, Monday through
Saturday in order for the residents to be transported to Tri -Rail, Bus Stops, Miami -Dade
College and other key areas.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT DULY RESOLVED BY THE CITY
COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF OPA- LOCKA, FLORIDA:
Section 1. The recitals to the preamble herein are incorporated by reference.
Section 2. The City Commission of the City of Opa -locka hereby directs the
City Manager to issue a Request for Proposals (RFP) for Shuttle Bus Services from
Monday through Saturday.
Section 3. The company chosen through the RFP process shall enter into an
agreement to be effective upon the expiration of the two (2) agreements with Limousines
of South Florida, Inc. (LSF)

Section 4. In the event the RFP process and the execution of a new agreement
exceeds the time of the current expiration of the two agreements with Limousine of South
Florida, Inc., the services of LSF, Inc. shall continue on a month -to -month basis not to
exceed six (6) months.
Section 5. This resolution shall take effect immediately upon adoption.
