RESOLUTION NO. 15 -8905
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY
OF OPA- LOCKA, FLORIDA, AMENDING RESOLUTION NO.
14 -8857 PROVIDING FOR "CODERED" HIGH SPEED
TELEPHONE COMMUNITY NOTIFICATION SERVICES
(CODE -RED) WITH EMERGENCY COMMUNICATION
SERVICES NETWORK, INC. (ECS) BY INCLUDING SUCH
NOTIFICATIONS FOR ALL MEETINGS, EVENTS, AND
OTHER INFORMATION OF IMPORTANCE TO CITY
RESIDENTS; PROVIDING FOR INCORPORATION OF
RECITALS; PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE
WHEREAS, CodeRed is a service that enables the City to send emergency
notifications to the City and its citizens; and
WHEREAS, CodeRed has been a highly effective system; and
WHEREAS, the City Commission of the City of Opa -locka wishes to add
specified services to the CodeRed System; and
WHEREAS, the City Commission of the City of Opa -locka directs the City
Manager to advise Emergency Communications Services (ECS) to provide these services
pursuant to the agreement authorized by Resolution No. 14 -8857.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT DULY RESOLVED BY THE CITY
COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF OPA- LOCKA, FLORIDA:
Section 1. The recitals to the preamble herein are incorporated by reference.
Section 2. The City Commission of the City of Opa- locka, hereby directs the
City Manager to advise Emergency Communications Services Network, Inc. to provide
Resolution No. 15 -8905
CodeRed services as currently provided and for all meetings, events and other
information of importance to City residents.
Section 3. This resolution shall take effect immediately upon adoption.

A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE
CITY OF OPA- LOCKA, FLORIDA, TO AUTHORIZE THE
CITY MANAGER TO RENEW THE ANNUAL AGREEMENT
WITH THE EMERGENCY COMMUNICATIONS NETWORK
INC. FOR CODERED HIGH SPEED TELEPHONE
COMMUNITY NOTIFICATION SERVICES, IN AN AMOUNT
NOT TO EXCEED NINE THOUSAND SEVEN HUNDRED
FIFTY DOLLARS ($9, 750.00), PAYABLE FROM ACCOUNT
NO. 14- 512528, A BUDGETED ITEM; PROVIDING FOR
INCORPORATION OF RECITALS; PROVIDING FOR AN
EFFECTIVE DATE
WHEREAS, Code Red High Speed Telephone Community Notification has proven to be a
highly effective communication tool for the City of Opa -locka to communicate with its constituents;
and
WHEREAS, the City has used Code Red communication system to notify the public, from
specific areas to the entire City limits; and
WHEREAS, the City Commission of the City of Opa -locka desires to authorize the City
Manager to renew the one -year agreement with Code Red to ensure that the City has access to this
system at the same level of service provided in prior years, as improvements and upgrades are made.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT DULY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF
THE CITY OF OPA- LOCKA, FLORIDA:
Section 1. The recitals to the preamble herein are incorporated by reference.
Section 2. The City Commission of the City of Opa -locka hereby authorizes and directs
the City Manager to renew a one -year agreement with Code Red High Speed Telephone Community
Resolution No. 14-8857
Notification Services, in an amount not to exceed Nine Thousand Seven Hundred Fifty Dollars
($9,750.00), payable from Account No. 14-512528, a budgeted item.
Section 3. This resolution shall take effect immediately upon adoption.
