RESOLUTION NO. 15 -8906
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY MAYOR AND CITY
COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF OPA- LOCKA,
FLORIDA, ESTABLISHING AN INTERNET RADIO
STATION IN AND FOR THE CITY; FUNDING TO
COME FROM ACCOUNT NO. 79-579410, A BUDGETED
ITEM; PROVIDING FOR INCORPORATION OF
RECITALS; PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE
WHEREAS, the City has been presented with a proposal for a start-up Internet Radio
Station which will well -serve our citizens and which will result in a more informed and more
involved community; and
WHEREAS, it is the responsibility of the government to keep its citizenry informed and to
have an open and transparent government for the people.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT DULY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION
OF THE CITY OF OPA- LOCKA, FLORIDA:
Section 1. The recitals to the preamble herein are incorporated by reference.
Section 2. The Mayor and City Commission of the City of Opa- locka, Florida,
directs the City Manager to begin preparations for the establishment of a City Internet Radio
Station.
Section 3. Initial start-up costs of Ten Thousand Dollars ($4,000.00) shall come from
Account No. 79- 579410.
Section 4. This resolution shall take effect immediately upon adoption.
