HomeMy Public PortalAbout1997-022i Member Johnson introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: CITY OF MEDINA RESOLUTION NO.97-22 RESOLUTION REQUESTING IMPROVEMENT OF STATE TRUNK HIGHWAY NO. 101. WHEREAS, the city of Medina (the "City") has received an application for a commercial project to be constructed in the northwest quadrant of the intersection of State Trunk Highway No. 101 and State Trunk Highway No. 55 in Medina; and WHEREAS, access to the development would be from State Trunk Highway No. 101; and WHEREAS, in reviewing the application, it has become apparent to the City that there is a need to review the alignment, site lines, vertical and horizontal curves and other aspects of State Trunk Highway No. 101 immediately north of State Trunk Highway No. 55; and WHEREAS, Hennepin County has expressed a willingness to review the need for improvements in this area in response to a formal request from the City. NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of Medina Minnesota as follows: 1. The City requests that Hennepin County review the need for improvements on State Trunk Highway No. 101 in the area north of State Trunk Highway No. 55. 2. The City staff is authorized and directed to take any and all actions to cooperate with Hennepin County with regard to this matter. 3. The City clerk is authorized and directed to transmit a copy of this resolution to Hennepin County.
