RESOLUTION NO. 15 -8921
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE
CITY OF OPA- LOCKA, FLORIDA, DIRECTING THE
CITY MANAGER TO ISSUE A REQUEST FOR
PROPOSALS (RFP) FOR SECURITY AND PATROL
SERVICES; PROVIDING FOR INCORPORATION OF
RECITALS; PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE
WHEREAS, pursuant to Resolution No. 13 -8644, adopted in July 2013, the City
Commission of Opa -locka entered into an Agreement for Homeland Security and Patrol
Services with Homeland Patrol Corporation (HPC) to provide Security guard personnel
for the City; and
WHEREAS, that Agreement was for a one (1) year period which expired in July
2014, of this year; and
WHEREAS, the City Commission of the City of Opa -locka wishes to issue an
RFP for these services and to direct the City Manager to retain Homeland Patrol
Corporation (HPC) on a month -to -month basis, not to exceed six (6) months.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT DULY RESOLVED BY THE CITY
COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF OPA- LOCKA, FLORIDA:
Section 1. The recitals to the preamble herein are incorporated by reference.
Section 2. The City Commission of the City of Opa- locka, hereby directs the
City Manager to issue a Request for Proposals (RFP) for Security and Patrol Services.

Section 3. The City Manager is directed to retain the services of Homeland
Patrol Corporation (HPC) on a month -to -month basis, not to exceed six (6) months.
Section 4. This resolution shall take effect immediately upon adoption.
