A resolution consenting to the creation of the Grand
County Special Service Water District by the Board of
County Commissioners of Grand County, Utah.
WHEREAS, on June 20, 1977, the Board of County Commissioners
of Grand County, Utah, adopted a resolution declaring that the
public health, convenience and necessity require the creation of
a Special Service District within said County; and
WHEREAS, said proposed Special Service District would
include the municipality of Moab, and pursuant to Utah Code
Annotated, Section 11-23-4 (1953), as amended, the Board of
County Commissioners of Grand County, Utah, has requested that
the City Council of Moab, Utah, consent to the inclusion within
said district of the Municipality of Moab:
NOW, THEREFORE, Be It Resolved by the City Council of Moab,
Grand County, Utah, as follows:
Section 1. The City Council of Moab, Utah, hereby consents
to the creation of the Grand County Special Service Water District
by the Board of County Commissioners of Grand County, Utah, and .
further consents to the inclusion of the Municipality of Moab,
Utah, within said Special Service District, it being the belief
of said City Council that the inclusion of the City of Moab
within said District will be in the best interests of said Muni-
cipality.
ADOPTED by the City Council of Moab, Grand County, Utah, and
approved by the Mayor this 21st day of June, 1977.
