RESOLUTION NO. 15 -8923
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE
CITY OF OPA- LOCKA, FLORIDA AUTHORIZING THE
CITY MANAGER AND CITY ATTORNEY TO TAKE ALL
NECESSARY LEGAL ACTION TO DISPOSE OF ALL
JUNKED VEHICLES CURRENTLY LOCATED AT THE
CITY'S PUBLIC WORKS SITE AND FOR THE PROCEEDS
TO BE UTILIZED FOR THE PUBLIC WORKS
BEAUTIFICATION PROJECT; PROVIDING FOR
INCORPORATION OF RECITALS; PROVIDING FOR AN
EFFECTIVE DATE
WHEREAS, the City's Public Works Department has stored junked vehicles on the property
that have salvage value; and
WHEREAS, proceeds from the disposition of these vehicles can be used for the Public
Works' Beautification Project.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT DULY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION
OF THE CITY OF OPA- LOCKA, FLORIDA:
Section 1. The recitals to the preamble herein are incorporated by reference.
Section 2. The City Manager and City Attorney are hereby directed to take all
necessary legal actions to dispose of the junked vehicles and for the proceeds to be utilized for
the Public Works Department's Beautification Project.
Section 3. This resolution shall take effect immediately upon adoption.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 28th day of January, 2015.
