AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON, MISSOURI, RELINQUISHING A CERTAIN
EASEMENT FOR SANITARY SEWER PURPOSES IN LOT 30 OF PLEASANT VALLEY
SUBDIVISION.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON, MISSOURI,AS FOLLOWS:
WHEREAS, by an easement recorded in Plat Book 012, Page 533;and also Plat Book 012, Page
489, of the Records of the Cole County, Missouri, a sewer easement was granted to the City of
Jefferson, a Municipal Corporation, to excavate within, install, construct, maintain and repair
structures for the routing and conveyance of sewer in, under and through the lots,tracts or parcels
of land described in Section 1;
Section 1. The Council finds that the following described easement is surplus property of
the City and is no longer needed for any public purpose:
A Twenty Five (25) foot Sanitary Sewer and General Utility Easement located in Lot 30 of
Pleasant Valley Subdivision,a subdivision of record in Plat Book 012,Page 553;also being a part
of a Fifteen (15) foot Utility Easement located in a part of Tract 1 of Hentges Estates, a
subdivision of record in Plat Book 012, Page 489 of the Records of Cole County, Missouri; said
Easement being more particularly described as follows:
Commencing at the SE Corner of Lot 30 of Pleasant Valley Subdivision, a subdivision of record
in Plat Book 012, Page 553 of the Records of Cole County, MO;thence N12906'46"E along the
Easterly Line of said Lot 30,26.23 feet to the point of beginning;thence S84 929'23"W,26.23 feet;
1� thence N1 2406'46"E, 136.76 feet to the Northerly Line of said Lot 30 and the Southerly Right of
Way Line of Dry Creek Lane;thence along said Northerly Line and said Southerly Right of Way
Line in a Southeasterly direction along a curve to the right 17.07 feet,the radius being 302.11 feet
and the long chord being S72 938'18"E, 17.07 feet;thence S71401'1 2"E along said Northerly Line
and said Southerly Right of Way Line 8.06 feet to the NE Corner of said Lot 30;thence leaving
said Northerly Line and said Southerly Right of Way Line S12°06'46"W along the Easterly Line
of said Lot 30, 126.29 feet to the point of beginning.
Section 2. The easement described in Section 1 is hereby relinquished, and the City
does hereby release and abandon whatever interest it has in the easement.
Section 3. The Mayor and City Clerk are hereby authorized to execute any necessary legal
document relinquishing all of the City's interest in the tract of ground described in Section 1.
Section 4. This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after the date of its
