RESOLUTION NO. 15-8928
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY
OF OPA- LOCKA, FLORIDA, AUTHORIZING THE
CELEBRATION OF THE CITY OF OPA- LOCKA'S 89TH
BIRTHDAY ON MAY 14, 2015; PROVIDING FOR
INCORPORATION OF RECITALS; PROVIDING FOR AN
EFFECTIVE DATE
WHEREAS, the City Commission of the City of Opa -locka desires to celebrate Opa-
locka's 89th Birthday on May 14, 2015; and
WHEREAS, the City Commission desires that the City Manager select a Committee to
plan for the 89th Birthday Celebration for the City; and
WHEREAS, the City Commission authorizes that the City shall celebrate the City of
Opa- locka's 89`h Birthday on May 14, 2015.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT DULY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF
THE CITY OF OPA- LOCKA, FLORIDA:
Section 1. The recitals to the preamble herein are incorporated by reference.
Section 2. The City Commission of the City of Opa- locka, Florida, hereby authorizes
that the City shall celebrate the City of Opa- locka's 89`h Birthday on May 14, 2015, and
authorizes and directs the City Manager to appoint a Planning Committee and to develop a plan
for approval by the City Commission.
Section 3. This Resolution shall take effect immediately upon adoption.
