RESOLUTION NO. 15 -8929
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE
CITY OF OPA- LOCKA, FLORIDA, TO AUTHORIZE
THE CITY MANAGER TO SOLICIT PROPOSALS TO
HIRE A PUBLIC RELATIONS COMPANY TO ASSIST IN
IMPROVING AND MAINTAINING THE CITY'S IMAGE,
AND TO MAKE RECOMMENDATIONS TO THE CITY
COMMISSION FOR FINAL APPROVAL; PROVIDING
FOR INCORPORATION OF RECITALS; PROVIDING
FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE
WHEREAS, the City Commission of the City of Opa -locka desires to hire a Public
Relations firm to improve the image of the City; and
WHEREAS, the City Commission of the City of Opa -locka desires to utilize the
expertise of a Public Relations firm that can assist in improving and maintaining the City's
image; and
WHEREAS, the City Commission of the City of Opa- locka, approves the solicitation of
a public relations firm, and authorizes the City Manager to solicit a Public Relations firm to
assist in image improvement and image maintenance of the City.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT DULY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION
OF THE CITY OF OPA- LOCKA, FLORIDA:
Section 1. The recitals to the preamble herein are incorporated by reference.
Section 2. The City Commission of the City of Opa -locka directs and authorizes the
City Manager to solicit competitive proposals for a Public Relations firm that can assist in
improving and maintaining the City's image, and to make a recommendation as to the hiring of
such a firm to the City Commission for final approval.
Section 3. This resolution shall take effect immediately upon adoption.
