RESOLUTION NO. 15 -8939
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE
CITY OF OPA- LOCKA, FLORIDA, APPOINTING A NEW
CITY ATTORNEY AND DIRECTING THE CITY MANAGER
TO BRING BACK TERMS AND CONDITIONS FOR
APPROVAL BY THE CITY COMIVIISSION; PROVIDING
FOR INCORPORATION OF RECITALS; PROVIDING FOR
AN EFFECTIVE DATE
WHEREAS, the City of Opa -locka ( "City ") put out a Request for Proposals (RPF) for
the position of City Attorney; and
and
WHEREAS, the City Commission conducted interviews and reviewed the qualifications;
WHEREAS, the City Commission of the City of Opa -locka desires to select a new City
Attorney, and designates the City Manager to negotiate and bring back for ratification the terms
and conditions of the retainer agreement for the new City Attorney.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE
CITY OF OPA- LOCKA, FLORIDA:
Section 1. The recitals to the preamble herein are incorporated by reference.
Section 2. The City Commission hereby selects Vincent T. Brown, Esq, the Brown
Law Group, LLC as the new City Attorney Effective Immediately.
Section 3. The City Commission of the City of Opa -locka hereby directs the City
Manager to negotiate terms and conditions of the retainer agreement, to be brought back
before the City Commission for ratification and approval.

Section 4. This resolution shall take effect immediately upon adoption.
