HomeMy Public PortalAbout1997-045Member Zietlow introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: CITY OF MEDINA RESOLUTION NO.97-45 RESOLUTION ORDERING PLANS AND SPECIFICATIONS REGARDING THE MOHAWK DRIVE IMPROVEMENT PROJECT WHEREAS, pursuant to council direction, the city engineer prepared a report regarding the feasibility of improving Mohawk Drive to city standards between T.H. 55 and the northern limits of the city and the engineer's report was accepted by the council on September 16, 1997; and WHEREAS, by resolution adopted on August 5, 1997, the city council called for a public hearing on September 16, 1997 regarding the proposed improvement of Mohawk Drive from T.H. 55 to the northern municipal boundary; and WHEREAS, following published and mailed notice as required by law, the public hearing was held in the council chambers at city hall on said date, at which time and place all persons desiring to be heard on this matter were given an opportunity to address the city council. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the city council of the city of Medina, Minnesota, as follows: 1. The proposed improvement of Mohawk Drive to city standards from T.H.55 to the northern city limits is hereby ordered. The city engineer is authorized and directed to prepare plans and specifications for the making of such improvement. 2. It is hereby declared to be the judgment of the city council that the proposed improvement has no relationship to the city's comprehensive plan. Dated: September 16, 1997. AT Paul Robinson, Clerk -Treasurer The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by member Hamilton and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: Ferris, Hamilton, Johnson, Thies, and Zietlow, and the following voted against same: None Whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.
