RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING STATEMENT OF CONSENT
WHEREAS, Earth Tcch, lnc, ("Earth Tcch") is proposing to construct a multi-phase
extraction system situated on the former Phillips Petroleum Operation site. The system
is to be designed to extract and treat the ground water in an effort to reduce the amount
of contamination from petroleum based products; and
WHEREAS, in order to accomplish the construction of said system Earth Tech is
required to obtain Treatment Works Approval ("TWA") from the New Jersey
Department of Environmental Protection, who will continue to monitor the system; and
WHEREAS, the TWA requires a Statement of Consent from the Borough of Carteret
(the "Borough"); and
WHEREAS, the Borough Engineer has reviewed the request from Earth Tech and has
recommended the Borough execute the Statement of Consent.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Mayor and Council of the Borough
of Carteret that the Mayor and Borough Clerk be and are hereby authorized to execute
the Statement of Consent supplement to [he TWA form in connection with the Earth
Tech Project.
