� P,ESOLUTION CONFIRDTING THE .REPORT OF THE BUILDING
OFFICIAL OF THE EXPENSE INCURRED BY THE CITY IN •
THE DEMOLITION OF BUILDINGS DONE PURSUANT TO
' SECTION 203 OF TH& UNIFOR47 BUILDING CODE 1964
EDITION.AND THE UNIFORM HOUSING CODE.1964 EDITION
AND ORDERING THE EXPENSE BE ASSESSED AGAINST THE
� REAL PROPERTY UPON WHICH THE BUI,LDINGS FORMERLY STOOD, •
CONFIRMING THE ASSESSMENT, THAT THE SAPRE TO�BE �
� RECORDED AND THAT THE COUIJTY•TAX ASSESSOR, THE
COUNTY TAX COLLECTOR AND THE COUNTY AUDITOR
UPON RECEIPT OF NOTICES OF LIEPd„ TO RECEIVE �• '.
THE SAME AND TO ADD THE Ai�70UNT OF THE ASSESSMENT
. TO THE NEXT REGULAR BILL FOR TA�ES LEVIED AGAINST
THE LOT OR PARCEL OF LAND THEREIN DESCRIBED AND

IN SUCH CASES MADE AND PfiOVIDED.'
6dHEREAS, the Building Official has prepared and
filed with the City Cleri: a report specifying the work done and an
itemized account of the expense incurred by the City•iri the
. demolition of the hereinafter.described premises under Section 203 �
of the Uniform Building Code and the Uniform Housing Code 1964
edition, and �
� WHEREAS, puz°suant to Section 17.2 of the Lynvaood City
• � Code, the City CTerk on December.l5, lg7p, presented the report
of the Buiiding Official to the City Council for consideration, and
WHEREAS, in accordance with law the City Council fixed a
time, date and place for hearing said report, and any protest
' or objections thereto, and �
WHEREAS, the City Clerk did cause notice of said hearing
' to be pcsted upon the p'roperty hereinafter described,•and published
once in the Lynwood Press, a newspaper of general circulation in the, .
City, and did serve by certified mail, postage prepaid, addressed ,

to Mr. Herman Appel, 10000 State Street, Lynwood, California, .
, the owner of the property as his name and address appears on the
last equalized assessment roll of the County, on the 8th day of
. January, 1971, which is more than ten days prior. to the date set
for the hearing, and did in such notice give further notice that
on the 19th day of January, 1971, beginning at the hour of 7:30 p.m.
in the Council Chambers of the City Hall of the City of Lynwood, -
California; the Council of the City of Lynwood would Hea'r and pass
upon said report o£ the Building Official of the said cost of �
' said repairs, together with any objections'and protests which �
might be raised by the property owner liable to be assessed for
the cost of said demolition, and the objections or protests of any
other interested persons, and _ '
WHEREAS, on,the said 19th day of January, 1971, said_
City Council did proceed to hold said hearing and did duly and
regularly conduct the same; all as contemplated by law, and
, WHEREAS, one;�prote'st and object,ion'was made, presented
and filed in�such�matter..' • �
� NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the Cityof Lynwood,
�Califorriia, does hereby resolve, declare, find, determine and_order �
as follows: �_' �. ' , . ' ,
Section 1 . That the facts with re£erence to said matter
as rec�ited in the preamble to this resolution are true.
Section 2 . That the City Council does hereby confirm .
the report of said Building Of£icial which is on file in the
Office of the City Clerk of said City and open to public inspection,
and which is referred to and incorporated by reference herein. .
. Section 3• That,the said Council does hereby assess the
costs of said demolition against the real property hereinafter
• described,'and does hereby order that;;un the amount so asses'sed
is paid within 30 days; the said amount shall constitute and be , •
� and is hereby levied by said Council as a special assessment
� � against said parcel of real-property�for the amount as set forth

in said report, and as contemplated under the provisions of
Section 17.2 of the Lynwood City Code, which said lien shall
continue until the assessment and interest thereon is paid, or until .
the lien is discharged:of record. �
Se ction 4 . Said County Assessor, said County Tax
Collector and said County auditor are hereby authorized, instructed,
directed and ordered, upon receipt of'such notice of lien, to
receive the same and therea£ter to proceed to add the amount of
the assessment indicated in notice of lien herein above set forth in
said above report o£ said Building Official, to the next regular
bill of taxes levied against the lot or parcel of land hereinafter
described and to enter the amount'thereof��oni'the.County Assessment
Book opposite the description of the property described and
re£erred to in the notice of lien'as set forth in said report, and
the amount thereof shall be collected with all other taxes thereori
against the property described. Said County o£ficers, and each of
them, are hereby further authorized, instructed, directed and
ordered to per£orm any further acts on their respective parts,
all as contemplated under the law in such cases made and provided.
' Se ction 5 =: That this resolution shall take effect
immediately.
Section 6 . That the real property hereinabove referred
