SETTING FORTH THE SALARIES LY CLASSIFICATIOPI OF
ITS OFFICERS AND EMPLOYEES, AND-OTHER BENEFITS . �

THE MUNICIPAL EMPLOYEE RELATIONS OFFICER OF
THE CITY OF LYNWOOD AND THE PEACE OFFICERS
, ASSOCIATION OF LYNWOOD.
• Be it resolved by the City Council of the City of
� Lynwood, California, as follows: •
' Section 1. That Section I of Resolution No. 70-46 be '
amended as follows: � •
"I. "Uniform Allotment. .(a) Uniformed Police 0£ficers •
shall supply their initial complements of uniforms at their,owil
expense: Thereafter, City wi11' furnish.annually, during each
' fiscal year, to each uniformed officer one replacement uniform.
, Such uniform consists currently•of a summer shirt, a winter shirt,
and a pair of pants, but City reserves the right'to determii�e and
change the uniform for uniformed officers.
_ ° (b) Uniformed officers sha11 receive a jacket as a.
replacement of initial equipment on the basis of necessity upon
the determination o£ the Chief of,Police. It is contemplated that '
such replacement will normally be necessary'once every four years.
"(c) City may at its sole discretion for any fiscal.
year substitute a uniform allowance of $100 in lieu of furnishing
uniforms as'hereinabove provided. '
° (d) The detectives shall receive annually a clothing
allowance of fi£ty dollars ($50),for each fiscal year, which shall
be paid for the current year commencing with the payroll period

immediately following approval of this section of Article IV by
the Lynwood City Council.
"(e) City's existing policy. concerning the replacement of
damaged uniforms. and clothing is not changed by the provisions of
this section." �
Sectiori 2 . "Overtime. Overtime is defined as
� "a. Unfinished work at the end of the.regular work day �
or shift which, in the opinion of the�supervisor in charge, must be ,
completed prior to personnel leaving the place of employment; such
overtime to be compensable either by straight _time pay as herein
' defined or by compensating time off as herein defined,'when said
overtime extends one-half hour beyond the regular work• day shif.t,
except as follows: Police officers below the rank of Lieutenant
shall receive the compensation set forth in Section 2C of Resolution
� No. 70-46 for worlting"an eight (8) hour work c�ay including'lunch,
plus a fifteen (15) minutes briefing period. Any, such emnloyee
who'is eligible for overtime credit shall receive such credit if
he worlcs.-a't least fifteen (15)'minutes beyond;his assigned work ' � �
