LYNLd00D, CALIFORNIA, AMENDING RULE hI SECTION 5AND 7 PERSONPIEL SYSTEM RULES AND REGULATIONS OF THE CITY OF LYII6JOOD: � � tiJHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Lynwood has � adopted'a'Me'morandum of Understanding with:the Peace Officers' Association of the City of Lyriwood,.a recognized employee organization for the police officers of the City of Lynwood allotivable under Cali£ornia State Law applying to public employees and as provided by Resolu,tion No. 69-26 adopted by the City Council on May 20 1969• WHEREAS, certain modifications of worl: rules for the police department is contained in said Memorandum of Understanding, and WHEREAS, these modi£ications are not presently reflected in the Personnel System Rules and Regulations of the City of -- - ` Lynwood ` � • � P10W, THEREFORE,.the City Council of the,City of Lynwood resolved as follows: Section l . Rule XI, Section 5, Paragraph 2 is amended to read as follows: "Except in case of emergency, as.determined by the Chief of Police, uniformed personnel o£ the Police Department shall work an eight (8) hour work day, including lunch, plus a fi£teen (15) minute briefing period. In addition, until an employee has worked fifteen (15) minutes beyond his assigned work shift, he shall not received overtime cre'dit. Overtime credit shall be given in incre- ments of one-quarter (1/4) hour,to the nearest one-quarter (1/4) hour. During any time of emergency, uniformed personnel shall work as directed'by the Chief of Police." Section 2 . "All uniformed police personnel shall be permitted eleven (11) working days off in lieu of holidays, based on one ' (1) full year of service and prorated for service of less than one (1) year, which may be taken subject to the terms and provisions of this section. , "Empl�yees may extend their vacation by eleven (11) working days if they exercise their option to do so no later than the last day on which they are required to indicate their choice of vacation periods. 5.;, reserves its right to extend the total period.during which vacation periods will be scheduled for as long a.portion,of the year, including the entire year, as may be necessary to enable employees to exercise this option. City £urther reserves its right to adjust the vacation periods of employees in order to close any gaps between vacation periods which may I result by the failure of any employee or employees to exercise , the option herein provided.
