RESOLUTION NO. 15-8953
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY
OF OPA- LOCKA, FLORIDA, DIRECTING THE CITY
MANAGER TO MOVE THE EXISTING CITY OF OPA -LOCKA
TRANSFER STATION TO A NEW LOCATION; PROVIDING
FOR INCORPORATION OF RECITALS; PROVIDING FOR AN
EFFECTIVE DATE
WHEREAS, The City of Opa -locka has an existing transfer station located at
Burlington Street and Codadad; and
WHEREAS, The current location is not the best location for such a facility and is
not in the best interests of Opa -locka residents; and
WHEREAS, the City would prefer to move the transfer station to a location that
is more compatible with the health and safety of Opa -locka residents.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED THAT THE CITY COMMISSION OF
THE CITY OF OPA LOCKA, FLORIDA:
Section 1. The recitals to the preamble herein are incorporated by reference.
Section 2. The City Commission hereby directs the City Manager to find a new
location for the new transfer station, not in a residential area, out of the inventory
of surplus property prior to moving to an existing location and bring the
recommended location back to the City Commission for approval.
Section 3. This Resolution shall take effect immediately upon adoption.
