AWARDING CONTRACT FOR PURCHASE
OF A ROLL-OFF TRUCK WITH SNOW PLOW ATTACHMENT
WHEREAS, the Borough of Carteret requires a Roll-Off Truck with a snow plow
attachment to serve the residents of the cODlrmmity; and
WHEREAS, the Borough has solicited and received two (2) bid proposals for the
purchase of the required Roll-Off Truck; and
WHEREAS, the Director of Engineering bas advised that the bid from. Campbell
Freightliners proposal did n6t comply with the bid specifications in significant respects
and has recommended the Roll-Off Truck purchase be awarded to the next lowest bidder,
Bergey's Truck Center, in the amount of$149,859.00; and
\VHEREAS, the Governing Body desires to award a contract to Bergey's Truck Center
in accordance with the Recommendation of the Borough's Director of Engineering,
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOL YED by the Mayor and Council of the Borough of
Carteret as follows:
1. That the above-referenced bid proposal from Bergey's Truck
Center is hereby accepted and the appropriate Borougb Officials
are hereby authorized to enter into a contract with Bergey's Truck
Center to furnish one (1) 2008 Mack GU7I3 Roll-Off Truck for
the sum of $149,859.00, in accordance in all respects with the
request for proposals and bid on same, and pursuant to the
recommendation of the Borough's Director"ofEngineering.
Adopted this 17th day ofJune, 2010
and certified as a true copy ofthe
original on June 18,2010.
