During BCAG discussions, key vulnerabilities, issues, and opportunities for
protecting or enhancing access at individual landings or groups of landings were
identified. The items listed below represent immediate priorities to be addressed
under the authority of the Board of Selectmen, engaging other town boards and
departments, the Brewster business community, local nonprofits, and state
officials and agencies as appropriate:
• Take action to extend the long-term viability of beach parking and vehicle
access at Mant's Landing
• Ensure that the design of the Crosby Lane culvert/climate resiliency project
mitigates public safety risks created by new beach parking in Nickerson State
Park
• Launch a community-based West Brewster coastal access and beach shuttle
study, spanning from Wing's Island to Mant's Landing
• Launch a community-based East Brewster coastal access and resource
protection planning process, spanning from Spruce Hill to Crosby Landing
