RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LYNWOOD
ADSOURNING THE JULY 20,1971 REGULAR MEETING OF THE CITY
COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LYNWOOD TO BATEMAN HALL, 11331
ERNESTINE AVENUE, LYNWOOD, CALIFORNIA.
WHEREAS, at the regular City Council meeting of July 20, 1971, a
large number of persons desiring to hear and be heard has appeared at said
Council Chamber for the purpose of attending said Council meeting, and
W1�REAS, the space and facilities of said chamber is insufficient
to accommodate all of said persons, and
WHEREAS, the Chief of the City Fire Department and Deputy State Fire
Marshal have notified the City Council that they cannot permit crowds to assemble
in hall of the City Hall in such numbers, and
WI�REAS, an emergency exists due to the number of persons attending
said meeting, requiring the continuance of the meeting outside the Council
Chambers, and
WF�REAS, the City Council is authorized by Ordinance No. 766 to adjourn
meetings of the City Council to some place outside the Council Chambers of the
City Hall, and
Wf�REAS, Bateman Hall, 11331 Ernestine Avenue, is convenient and of
sufficient capacity to accommodate the persons desiring to hear and be heard;
NOW, THEREFORE, AE IT RESOLVED:
Section 1. The City Council of the City of Lynwood does hereby order
that said meeting be adjourned and continued to said Bateman Hall at 8 ���
on this date, July 20, 1971, for the purpose of conducting a public meeting.
Section 2. The City Clerk is hereby instructed to post a copy of this
order on the door of the Council Chambers, and to place and employee of the City
on duty in the Council Chambers to direct and instruct any and all persons who
come to the Council Chambers that said meeting is being held in said Bateman Hall.
Section 3. The City Clerk shall certify to the adoption of this
resolution.
APPROVED and ADOPTED this 20th day of July, 1971.
