HomeMy Public PortalAbout1997-060Member Ann Thies introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: CITY OF MEDINA RESOLUTION NO.97-60 RESOLUTION DENYING ORIGINAL LAND USE APPLICATIONS FOR JOE FRANCIS (HOLIDAY) WHEREAS, Joe Francis (the "Applicant") purchased land located in the northwest quadrant of T. H. 55 and County Road 101 (the 'Property"); and WHEREAS, the Applicant submitted an application to the city of Medina (the "City") for a proposed lot combination, plat, and conditional use permit for a Holiday Station Store to be located on the Property; and WHEREAS, these matters were considered by the planning commission at its meeting of June 10, 1997; and WHEREAS, these matters were considered by the city council at several meetings, including those held July 1 and August 5, 1997; and WHEREAS, the Applicant has granted the City an indefinite extension of the 60 day limitation on making land use decisions but has subsequently submitted a new application for the Property and no longer wishes to pursue the original applications for same; and WHEREAS, the planning commission considered the new applications at its meeting on December 9, 1997; and WHEREAS, the city is scheduled to consider the new applications at a meeting in January, 1998; and WHEREAS, it is now appropriate for the City to take final action with regard to the original applications. RHB135083 ME230-259 97-60 12-16-97 y • NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF MEDINA, MINNESOTA, that the Applicant's original applications with regard to the Property are hereby denied and attention shall henceforth be directed to the Applicant's new applications.
