CITY OF MEDINA
RESOLUTION NO.97- 61
RESOLUTION LEVYING TAXES
FOR 1997 PAYABLE IN 1998
WHEREAS, the City Council has prepared a budget for the operations of the City of Medina for
the 1998 calendar year, containing the following appropriations out of the General Fund:
General Government $ 443,798
Public Safety $ 735,929
Public Works $ 339.621
Parks $ 55,785
Recycling $ 29,896
Miscellaneous $ 66,404
Capital Outlay $ 151,300
WHEREAS, the anticipated revenues for the 1998 calendar year, including Homestead and
Agricultural Aid(HACA), is $ 1,822,733; and
WHEREAS, a Truth in Taxation hearing was held on December 3, 1997;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Medina, County of
Hennepin, Minnesota, that a property tax levy of $ 1,040,600 (not including HACA) be levied
upon the taxable property in the City of Medina for taxes payable in 1998 and herein authorize
Paul Robinson, City Clerk -Treasurer for the City of Medina to certify this resolution to the County
Auditor of Hennepin County, Minnesota.

The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by member Ann
Thies and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof:
Ferris, Hamilton, Johnson, Thies, and Zietlow
and the following voted against: None
Whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted this 16th day of December,
1997.
