RESOLUTION NO. 15-8958
A RESOLUTION OF CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF
OPA- LOCKA, FLORIDA, DIRECTING THE CITY MANAGER
TO CONDUCT A STUDY ON THE OUT - SOURCING OF CODE
ENFORCEMENT DUTIES IN THE CITY OF OPA LOCKA;
PROVIDING FOR INCORPORATION OF RECITALS;
PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE
WHEREAS, the City of Opa -locka currently employees its own Code
Enforcement Officers; and
WHEREAS, it is in the public interest for the City of Opa -locka to insure that
residents and businesses are provided with the very best in Code Enforcement in order
to protect public health and safety, and encourage economic investment in the City; and
WHEREAS, the City should always study the issue of privatization as mean of
proving efficient services.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT DULY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION
OF THE CITY OF OPA- LOCKA, FLORIDA:
Section 1. The recitals to the preamble herein are incorporated by reference.
Section 2. The City Commission hereby directs the City Manager to conduct a
comparative study on the issue of privatization of Code Enforcement Services for
the City of Opa -locka and report back in sixty (60) days.
Section 3. This Resolution shall take effect immediately upon adoption.
