14 LEVIED AGAINST THE LOT OR PARCEL OF LAND THEREIN
15 DESCRISED AND THE AMOUNT ON THE COUNTY ASSESSMENT
16 UNDER THE LAW IN SUC$ CASES MADE AND PROVIDED.
17 WAEREAS, the Building Official has prepared and filed with the
18 City Clerk a report specifying the work done and an itemized account of the
jJ expense incurred by the City in the demolition of the hereinafter described
20 premises under Section 203 of the Uniform Building Code and the Uniform
21 Housing Code 1964 edition, and
� WI�REAS, pursuant to Section 17.2 of the Lyrnaood City Code, the
23 City Clerk on August 3, 1971, presented the report of the Building Official
� to the City Council for consideration, and
25 WIiEREAS, in accordance with law the City Council fixed a time date
Qs and place for hearing said report, and any protest or objections thereto, and
27 WI�REAS, the City Clerk did cause notice of said hearing to be
$$ poeted upon the property hereinafter described, and published once in the
'� Lynwood Press, a newapaper of general circulation in the city, and did serve
30 by certified mail, postage prepaid, addressed to W_ .T.. Thompson Jr., County
31 of Los Angeles, c/o Public Administrator & Guardian, 220 North Broadway�
gQ Los Angeles� California, the owner of the property as his name and address

1 appears on the last equalized assessment roll of the County, on the 23rd day
2 of August, 1971, which is more than ten days prior to the date set for hearing
3 and did in such notice give further notice that on the 7th day of September,
4 1971, beginning at the hour of 7:30 p,m, in the Council Chambers of the City
5 Hall of the City of Lynwood, California, the Council of the City of Lynwood
s would hear and pass upon said report of the Building Official of the said
7 cost of said repairs together with any objections and protests which might
g be raised by the property owners liable to be assessed for the cost of said
9 demolition, and the objections or protests of any other interested persons,
10 and
11 ���, on the said 7th day of September, 1971, said City Council
12 did proceed to hold said hearing and did duly and regularly conduct the same,
13 811 as contemplated by law, and
14 ���, no protest or objection was made, presented and filed in
15 such matter�
16 NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of LSmwood, California,
17 does hereby resolve, declare, find, determine and order as follows:
18 Section l That the facta with reference to said matter as
19 recited in the preamble to this resolution are true.
20 Section 2. That the City Council doea hereby confirm the report of
21 said Building Official which is on file in the office of the City Clerk of
22 said city and open to public inspection and which is referred to and incor-
23 porated by reference herein.
� Section 3. That the said Council does hereby assess the costs of
�r said demolition against the real property hereinafter described, and does
26 hereby order that unless the amount so assessed is paid within 30 days, the
Q'J said amount shall constitute and be and is hereby levied by said Council as a
Q$ special assessment against said parcel of real property for the amount as set
�J forth in said report, and as contemplated under provisions of Section 17.2 of
30 the Lynwood City Code, which said Lien shall continue until the assessment and
31 interest thereon is paid, or until the lien is discharged of record,
32 Section 4. Said County Assessor� said County Tax Collector and

1 said County Auditor are hereby authroized, instructed, directed and ordered,
2 upon receipt of such notice of lien, to receive the same and thereafter to
3 proceed to add the amount of the assessment indicsted in notice of lien
4 herein above set forth in said above report of said Building Official, to the
5 next regular bill of taxes levied against the lot ar parcel of land herein-
6 after deacribed, and to enter the amount thereof on the County Asseasment
7 Book opposite the description of the property described and referred to in the
$ notice of lien as set forth in said report, and the amount thereof shall be
9 collected with all other taxes thereon against the property described. Said
10 County officers, and each of them, are hereby further authorized, instructed,
11 directed and ordered to perform any further acts on their respective parts,
12 all as contemplated under the law in such cases made and provided,
13 Section 5. That this resolntion shall take effect immediately.
14 Section 6. That the real property hereinabove referred to is
15 described as fallows:
16 Lot 190� Tract 7572, in the City of Lynwood, as recorded
17 on pages 22 and 23, Map Book 82 of Los Angeles County,
1g State of California.
19 APPROVED and ADOPTED this 7th day of September 1971.
