RESOLUTION REQUESTING NEW JERSEY TRANSIT TO
RELOCATE A BUS SHELTER
WHEREAS, New Jersey Transit ("NJT") cun'ently maintains a bus shelter at the
intersection of lower Roosevelt Avenue and Pershing Avenue (the "Bus Shelter"); and
WHEREAS, the Carteret Police Department (the "Police Department") has requested
that the Bus Shelter be relocated; and
WHEREAS, the Mayor and Council of the Borough of Carteret (the Borough") have
considered the Police Department's request and have determined that a relocation of the
Bus Shelter would be in the bcst interest of the health, safety and welfare of the Borough.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE Il' RESOLVED bv the Mayor and Council of the Borough
of Carterct that New Jersey Transit be requested to relocate thc bus shelter currently
located at the intersection of lower Roosevelt and Pershing, one block south to the
intersection of Salem and Roosevelt Avenues.
BE, IT FURTHER RESOLVED that copies of this Resolution be forwarded to New
Jersey Transit and the Carteret Police Department.
