RESOLUTION N0. 71-89
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
LYNWOOD DIRECTING THE OWAIER OF THE BUILDINGS AT
112L�.1 VIRGINIA AVENUE TO APPEAR BEFORE THE CITY
COUNCIL TO SHOW CAUSE WHY SUCH BIIILDINGS SHOULD
NOT BE CONDEMNED AS A PUBLIC NUISANCE AND SAID
NUISANCE ABATED, AND PRESCRIBING THE FORM OF
SAID NOTICE.
WHEREAS, the Building Official of the City of Lynwood
has filed with the City Council a report stating that F.W. Lohrke
is the owner of the buildings on that lot or parcel of land herein-
after described, and that said buildings are substandard as defined
in the Uniform Building Code and that said buildings constitute a
public nuisance in the following particulars that the dwelling and
garage are structurall,p unsound, electric systems are unsafe, all
plumbing is unsanitary, the lot is completely overgrown and the
entire property is a health hazard, fire hazard and an attractive
nuisance.
Whereas, the lot or parcel of land hereinabove referred
to is described as follows: Lot 152 of Tract 7q81} in the City of
Lynwood, in the County of Los Angeles, State of California, as
per map recorded and commonly known as 11241 Virginia Anenue,
Lynwood, California.
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED:
1, That the Building Official and the City Clerk notify
the owner of said buildin�s and if said buildings is encumbered
by a mortgage or a deed of trust of record, the beneficiary of
said deed of trust in the manner hereinafter stated, directing
the owner of such buildings and the mortgagee or beneficiary, if
any, to appear before the City Council at the Council Chambers in
the City Hall at 11330 Bullis Road, Lynwood, California, on

January 18, 1972 � at the hour of 7:30 p.m. or as/ anc� s�ow cause
why such buildings should not be condemned as a nuisance and said

nuisance be abated by reconstructing, or properly repairin� said
buildings or razing or remoning the same,
2. The notices required in this resolution shall be
ginen in the followin� mannera The Building Official, or ang
employee in the Building Department who he ghall delegate, shall
post conspicuously on the buildin�s alleged to be unfit at
least one copy of the notice and shall send another copy by
re�istered or certified mail, postage prepaid, return receipt
requested, the the person owning the lot or parcel of land on
which the buildings are located as such person�s name and address
appean on the last equalized assessment roll or as known to the
City Clerk and to any mortgagee or beneficiary, and if such address
is unknown to the enforcement agency, then such fact shall be
stated in said copy so mailed and it shall be addressed to him at
the County seat of the County wherein the property is situated.
The Building Official, or employee of the Building
Department upon giving notice as aforesaid shall file an affidavit
thereof with the City Clerk certifying the time and manner in which
such notices was given. He ahall also file therewith any receipt
card which may be returned to him in acknowledgement of receipt of
such notice by registered or certified mail> The failure of
any owner or other person to receive said notice shall not effect
in any manner the validity of the proceedings taken hereunder.
The City Clerk shall cause a notice of the time and place of said
hearing to be published in a newspaper of general circulation
published in the City of Lynwood. Said publication shall be made
at least ten days before the date set for said hearing,
APPROVED and ADOPTED this 21st day of December, 1971,
