RESOLUTION NO. 15-8969
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY
OF OPA- LOCKA, FLORIDA, DIRECTING THE CITY
MANAGER TO IMPLEMENT STEPS TO RELOCATE I THE
EXISTING CITY OF OPA -LOCKA TRANSFER STATION TO
CITY OWNED PROPERTY LOCATED AT NW 128TH STREET
AND 45TH AVENUE; PROVIDING FOR INCORPORATION OF
RECITALS; PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, The City of Opa -locka has an existing transfer station located at
Burlington Street and Cododad; and
WHEREAS, The current location is not the best location for such a facility and is
not in the best interests of Opa -locka residents; and
WHEREAS, the City would prefer to move the transfer station to a location on
City Owned property at NW 128th Street and 45th Avenue.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED THAT THE CITY COMMISSION OF
THE CITY OF OPA LOCKA, FLORIDA:
Section 1. The recitals to the preamble herein are incorporated by reference.
Section 2. The City Commission hereby authorizes the City Manager to move the
existing transfer station to City Owned Property located at NW 128th Street and
451h Avenue.
Section 3. This Resolution shall take effect immediately upon adoption.
