HomeMy Public PortalAbout1998-01635 Member Thies introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: CITY OF MEDINA RESOLUTION NO.98-16 RESOLUTION CALLING FOR A PUBLIC NEARING ON '1'11E C.S.A.H. 101 WATER MAIN IMPROVEMENT WHEREAS, pursuant to city council direction, a report dated February 27, 1998 has been prepared by Bonestroo, Rosene, Anderlik & Associates, the city's consulting engineer, with regard to the feasibility of constructing water main improvements generally in the northwest quadrant of the intersection of T.H. 55 and C.S.A.H. 101; and WHEREAS, the report, which concludes that making the proposed improvement is feasible, has been presented to the city council by the city engineer; and WHEREAS, the council wishes to determine the public interest in constructing such improvement. NOW, 'THEREFORE, be it resolved by the city council of the city of Medina, Minnesota as follows: 1. The city council will consider making the water main improvements in accordance with the report and the assessment of benefited properties for all or a portion of the cost of said improvement pursuant to Minnesota Statutes, Chapter 429 at a total estimated project cost of $128,130; and 2. A public hearing shall be held on such improvement on April 7, 1998 in the council chambers at city hall at 8:00 p.m. and the city clerk -treasurer shall give mailed and published notice of such hearing as required by law.
