RESOLUTION NO. 15-8977
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY
OF OPA LOCKA, FLORIDA, DIRECTING THE CITY
MANAGER TO PAY THE SALARY OF POLICE OFFICER JEAN
MARY JEAN BAPTISTE FOR AN ADDITIONAL SIX MONTHS;
PROVIDING FOR INCORPORATION OF RECITALS;
PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, Officer Jean Mary Jean Baptiste is currently suffering from a serious
illness and is very bad health and suffering from financial hardship; and
WHEREAS, The City as a humanitarian gesture to a brave public servant desires
to extend six months of salary to officer Baptiste in his time of need.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED THAT THE CITY COMMISSION OF
THE CITY OF OPA LOCKA, FLORIDA:
Section 1. The recitals to the preamble herein are incorporated by reference.
Section 2. The City Commission hereby authorizes the City Manager to pay the
salary of officer Jean Mary Jean Baptiste for a period of an additional six months.
Section 3. This Resolution shall take effect immediately upon adoption.
