Member Thies introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption:
CITY OF MEDINA
RESOLUTION NO.98-20
RESOLUTION VACATING DRAINAGE AND
UTILITY EASEMENTS
WHEREAS, the city council of the city of Medina, Minnesota authorized the city clerk -
treasurer to cause notice of a hearing regarding the vacation of the 5.00 foot easements for drainage
and utility purposes centered on the common lot lines between Lots 1 and 2 and Lots 2 and 3, Block 1,
Tuckborough Farm, Hennepin County, Minnesota to be published in the official newspaper and to be
posted in the area of the affected property at least two weeks prior to the public hearing; and
WHEREAS, the notice of said public hearing was published on March 5, 1998, in the official
newspaper and was posted in the area of the affected property; and
WHEREAS, on this date, the city council held the public hearing on the vacation of the
described drainage utility and street easements, at which public hearing all interested parties were heard
with respect to said vacation, and the city council determined that the vacation of said easements to be
in the public interest.
NOW, I BEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Medina,
Minnesota as follows:
1. The city council hereby declares that the drainage and utilities easements legally described on
Exhibit A attached hereto are vacated.
2. The city clerk -treasurer is authorized and directed to prepare and present to Hennepin county
the notice that the city council has completed these vacation proceedings and request that the
same be reflected in the county's records.

The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by member Johnson and
upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof:
Ferris, Hamilton, Johnson, Thies, and Zietlow
and the following voted against same: None
Whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.

EXHIBIT A
The legal description of the vacated drainage and utility easements are as follows:
Vacation of a 5 foot drainage and utility easement along each side of
the shared boundaries between lot 1 and lot 2 and lot 2 and lot 3
block 1, Tuckburough Farm in Section 13, Township 1918, Range
23, Hennepin County, Minnesota.
