APPROVING PROFESSIONAL SERVICES CONTRACT _
GENOVA BUlli'lS & GIANTOi\olASI
WHEREAS, the Borough of Carteret is in need of specialized legal services with regard to
various ongoing personnel matters; and
\YHEREAS, the law firm of Genova Burns & Giantomasi possesses the requisite experience and
expertise to provide said specialized legal services; and
WHEREAS, the Chief Financial Officer has certified that funds are or will be available for said
puzpose.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOL YEn by the Mayor and Council of the Borough of
Carteret. .
1. That the law firm of Genova Burns & Giantomasi is hereby appointed
special labor counsel at an hourly rate set pursuant to the firm's existing
contract with the Borough for a ma.-wnum cost not to exceed $20,000.00.
2. That a copy of this Resolution shall be fonvarded to the Borough's
Purchasing Department.
3. Ibis action is approved, as an award of a professional services contract
pursuant to N.J.S.A. 40A:I1-5(1)(a) in accordance with the Borough's
Fair and Open Process as authorized by law.
