HomeMy Public PortalAboutR 00:220No. 00-220 Date el'Adoption .JULY ')7: 2000 Tax Sale Certificate Redemption in Installments WHEREAS, on September 29, 1999, a tax sale certificate #990093 was placed on block 251, lot 2, for property assessed to Blacknall, Tolbert & Philacia known as 68 Union Street, Carteret, NJ, in the amount of $1,946.01, and WHEREAS, additional taxes, interest and costs have accrued through August 1, 2000 in the amount of $5,627.42, exclusive of the 2000-year taxes. WHEREAS, the taxpayer requested payments on the tax lien be made by installments, and WHEREAS, N.J.S.A. 54:5-66 provides for the redemption of a tax lien held by a municipality by installment payments. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Mayor and Council of the Borough of Carteret, County of Middlesex, authorize the Tax Collector to accept tax lien payments under the installment method in the amount of $500 per month, according to the attached schedule on or before the 1st of each month until the municipal lien #990093 is paid in full. BE IT FUTHER RESOLVED that all 2000 current years taxes must be paid in full and subsequent taxes must be paid by the due date as they become due, and, if the installment payment is delinquent, paid after the due date, or any current tax payments are delinquent, this installment agreement is null and void.
