Member Zietlow introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption:
CITY OF MEDINA
RESOLUTION NO.98-29
RESOLUTION VACATING DRAINAGE AND UTILITY EASEMENT
WHEREAS, the city council of the city of Medina, Minnesota caused notice of a hearing
regarding the vacation of a 30 foot easement for drainage and utility purposes located on property
legally described on Exhibit A attached hereto, which easement is legally described on Exhibit B
attached hereto to be published in the official newspaper and to be posted according to law at least two
weeks prior to the public hearing; and
WHEREAS, the notice of said public hearing was published on June 4 and June 11, 1998, in
the official newspaper and was posted according to law; and
WHEREAS, on June 16, 1998, the city council held the public hearing on the vacation of the
described drainage utility and street easement, at which public hearing all interested parties were given
an opportunity to be heard and the city council determined that the vacation of said easement to be in
the public interest.
NOW, '1'HLREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Medina,
Minnesota as follows:
1. The city council hereby declares that the drainage and utilities easement legally
described on Exhibit B attached hereto is vacated.
2. The city clerk -treasurer is authorized and directed to prepare and present to Hennepin
county the notice that the city council has completed these vacation proceedings and
request that the same be reflected in the county's records.

The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by member Thies and upon
vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof
Ferris, Hamilton, Johnson, Thies, and Zietlow
and the following voted against same: None
Whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.
