RESOLUTION N0, 70-19
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF LYNWOOD DECLARING ITS INTENTION TO ORDER
STREET LIGHTING SERVICE ON CERTAIN STREETS
IN THE CITY OF LYNwT00D FOR A PERIOD SEGINNING
JULY 1, 1970, AND ENDING JUNE 3�, 1973.
The Cify Council of the City of Lynwood does hereby
resolve as follows:
Section 1 . That the public interest and convenience
require, and it is the intention of the City Council of tne City
of Lynwood to order the furnishing o£ the service necessary to
maintain a.nd illuminate by means of electrical ene�gy the street
lighting system made up of 2500 lumen, 6000 lumen, 7000 lumen,
11,000 lumen, 20,000 lumen, and 55 ,000 lumen lamps in certain
streets in the City of Lynwood within the district described
in Section 2 hereof and to be known as "Lighting Maintenance
District No, 21 of the City of Lynwood". Reference is hereby
made to Plan No, 1970-D and Specifications No, 1970-D on file
in the o£fice of the City Engineer of said city.
Section 2 . That the exteri.or bo�andary of the district
to be benefited therefrom and to be assessed to pay the costs a.nd
expensee thereof to be known as said assessment district is
described as follows:
Those properties lying witnin the following described
exterior boundary line, to wit:
Beginning at the intersection of the west line of Santa.
Fe Avenue and the southerly city boundary as said boundary existed
on Ma,rch 7, 1g67 thence northerly along said boundary line and
following the same in all its various courses to the intersection
of Seminole Avenue and the City boundary; thence easterly along
the south side of Seminole Avenue to the west side of Santa Fe
Avenue; thence southerly along said west line to the norfhes^ly
boundary line on the north side of Century Boulevard; thence
easterly along Century Boulevard to a northwesterly departure of
said boundary line; thence following said northwesterly boundary
line in all its various courses to the north side o£ Tweedy
Boulevard; thence easterly along Tweedy Boulevard to a s�utherly
depas�ture of said boundary line; thence southerly along eaid
boundary line in all its various c�urses to the first alley north
of Century B�ulevard; thence easterly along said boundary in all its
various courses to the first alley east of Atlantic Avenue; thence
southerly a.long said bounda.ry line to Imperial Highway; thence
easterly along Imperial Highway to a s�urtherly departure of said
boundary line; thence southerly along said easterly boundary line
in all its various courses to the south side of Summerdale;
thence westerly to the west line o£ Wright Road; thence northerly
along Wright Road to a westerly departure of said boundary line;

all its various courses to McMillan Street; ttzence westerly along
MeMillan Street to �3torieacre Avenue; thence northerly along Stone-
acre Avenue to Carlin Avenue; thence westerly along Ca.xlin Avenue
to a sautherly departure of said boundary; thence southerly along
said boundary line to Olanda Street; fi�ence westerly along Olanda
Street to Thorson Averrue; thence northerly along Thorson Averrue
to a westerly departure of said boundary line; thence along said
westerly boundary line to Bullis Road; thence s�utherly along
Bullis Road to a westerly departure o£ said b�undary line; thence
westerly along said boundary to th.e point of beginning.
All properties owned by the City of Lynwood, Lynwood
Unified Sci�ool District, Federal Government, and Public Utilities
are hereby specifica.11y exempted from this assessment,
Section 3 , That the said contemplated improvement shall
be for a period of three (3) YEars, commencing July 1, 1970, arid
be had and taken under the provisione oP Divieion 1�4, Part I of
the Streets and Higeiways Code, cited as the "Street Ligkiting
Act of 191g and amendments thereto."
