RESOLUTION N0, 70-22
A RESOLUTION PASSING UPON OBJECTIONS AND
DIRECTING THE SUPERINTENDENT OF STREETS TO
ABATE THE NUISANCE OF DRY AND DRYING WEEDS
THAT EXIST ON CERTAIN PARCELS OF LAND IN
THE CITY OF LYD1NI00D,
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Lynwood,
California, did on the 17th day of February, 1970, a,dopt Resolu-
tion No, 70-15 relating to the abatement of dry and drying weeds
on certain parcels of land in the City of Lynwood, and
WHEREAS, due notice was given to destroy sucn weeds by
posting "Notice to Destroy Weeda" notices, as required by law, and
WHEREAS, at the time and place fixed for the hearing of
protests and objections to said matter, a hearing was duly held
and no written or oral objections were made to the doing of said
work, and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Lynwood has
considered all the facts and is fully informed in the matter,
and they have acquired �jurisdiction to proceed and perform the
work of removal of said nuisance.
NOW, THEREFORE, HE IT RESOLVED that the Superintendent
of Streets of the City of Lynwood be, and l:e is hereby instructed
to abate the nuisance described in sa.id Resolution 70-15 by having
said nuisancea referred to removed, and he and 'nis assistants are
ilereby expressly authorized to enter upon private property for
that purpose.
SE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that any property owners shall
have the right to have any such nuisance removed and abated at
his own expense, provided such work is done prior to t'ne time the
work is done by the Superintendent of Streets, If the work is
done by the property owner, no charge ahall be made by tne City
of Lynwood.
