A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF LYNWOOD OVERRULING PROTESTS, ORDERING THE
WORK AND LEVYING THE PROPOSED ASSESSMENT FOR
SERVICE NECESSARY TO MAINTAIN AND ILLUMINATE
ALL STREET LIGHTS IN THE CITY OF LYNWOOD,
SE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of
Lynwood as follows:
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Lynwood,
California, did, on the 3�`d day of March, 1970, adopt Resolution
No. 70-20 £ixing the time and place for a hearing in the matter
of Lighting Mainteriance District No. 21 and to Plans and Speci-
fications No. 1970-D of the City of Lynwood, and
WHEREAS, all interested persons were given full
opportunity to present their protests or ob,jections, and
WHEREAS, evidence has been received as to the publi-
cation and posting o£ notice of said hearing in the time, form,
and manner required by law,
NOW, THEREFORE, the said City Council, a£ter due
coneideration of all such ob,jections and protests, does hereby
overrule and deny any such protests and objections and each of
them to the work or improvement to be done within said Street
Lighting Maintenance District, ae described in Resolution of
Intention N�. 7�-19 of said city and to the proposed a.ssessment
there£or; and does hereby confirm and adopt as a whole, unmodi-
fied, the assessment and report as described in said Resolution
of Intention No, 70-1g, and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that tne public interest and
convenience demands and requires and this City Council doee
hereby order the said contemplated improvement to be made in
accordance with the plans and specifications therefor, adopted
and approved, and the City C�uncil does hereby levy the said
proposed assessment made to cover the costs and expenses of
said improvement upon the respective sub-division of land in
sa.id district and as fixed by the proposed report and assessment
heretofore filed in the of£ice of the City Clerk, and
BE IT F'iJRTHER RESOLVED, that the City Clerk of the
City of �ynwood is hereby ordered to transmit to the County of
Los Angeles Tax Collector the diagram and assessment upon which
such levy is based, and said c�unty tax collector is hereby
autho�ized and directed to make collections of all such
assessments, and to perform all the acts and duties as are
required of said aet to be per£ormed by the persons deaignated
as "Tax Collector" in Chapter 6 of the Street Lighting Act of
lglg, as a.mended.
APPROVED and ADOPTED this 21st day of April, 1970.
