RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF'
LYNWOOD ADJOURNING THE MAY 19, 1970 REGULAR
MEETSNG OF THE CITY COUNCIL TO BATEMAP3 AALL,
11331 ERNESTINE AVENUE, LYNWOOD CALIFORNIA.
WHERF,AS, at the regular City Council meeting of May 19,
1970, a large number of persons desiring to hear and be heard as
appeared at said Council Chambers for the Century Freeway Agreement
hearing, and
WHEREAS, the space and facilities o£ said chambers is
insufficient to accommodate all of said persons, and
WHEREAS, the Chief o£ the City Fire Department and
Deputy State Fire Marshal have notified the City Council that they
cannot permit crowds to assemble in halls of the City Hall in such
numbers, and
1 ,dHEREAS, an emergency exists due to the number of persons
attending said meeting, requiring the continuance of the meeting
outside the Council Chambers, and
WHEREAS, the City Council is authorized by Ordinance No.
766 to adjourn meetings of the City Council to some place outside
the Council Chambers of the City Hall, and
WHEREAS, Bateman Hall, 11331 Ernestine Avenue, is
convenient and o£ sufficient capacity to accommodate the persons
desiring to hear and be heard;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED:
Section 1 . The City Council of the City of Lynwood does
hereY�� order that said meeting be adjourned and contined to said
Ba�eman Hall at 8�30 p.m. on this date, P 19, 1970, for the
purpose of conducting a public joint City Council and Planning
Commission meeting.
S ection 2 . The City Clerk is hereby instructed to post a
copy of this order on the door of the Council Chambers, and to place
an employee of the City on duty in the Council Chambers to direct
and instruct any and all persons who come to the Council Chambers
that said meeting and hearing is being held in said Bateman Hall.
S ection 3 • The City Clerk shall certify to the adoption
of this resolution.
