RESOLUTION N0. 70-42
RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
LYNWOOD AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF THE ROUTF 7
FREEWAY AGREEMENT, BETWEEN THE STATE OF CALIFORNIA,
DNISION OF HIGHWAYS, AND THE CITY OF LYNWOOD.
WHEREAS, the proposed agreement between the State and
the City of Lynwood covers the Route 7(Long Beach) Freeway, between
the Paramount City limit at Summerdale Street and the South Gate
City limit at Imperial Highway, and
WHEREAS, this proposed agreement will supersede in their
entireties the freeway agreements between the State and the City
of Lynwood dated February 17, 1950, and Julv 18, 1955, having limits
respectively between the south city limits of Lynurood at the Pacific
Electric Railway and the north city limits of Lynwood and between
the east city limits near Wrioht Road and the north city limits
at Imperial Highway and will supersede a portion of the freeway
agreement between the State and the County of Los Angeles dated
January 2, 1957, between the Long Beach city limits near Belhart
Street and Route 5(Santa Ana) freeway.
NOW, THERFFORE, BE IT RESOLVED:
Section l . That the City Council of the City of Lynwood
approves and ratifies said agreement, and
Section 2 . That the City Council authorizes and directs
the Mayor to execute said agreement for and on behalf of the City
of Lynwood.
