AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON, MISSOURI, AUTHORIZING THE CITY
COUNSELOR TO ACQUIRE CERTAIN PROPERTY BY PURCHASE OR BY
CONDEMNATION.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON, MISSOURI, AS
FOLLOWS:
Section 1. The Council does hereby find, determine and declare it a public necessity
to acquire a permanent sanitary sewer easement for a sanitary sewer line, as well as a
temporary construction easement together with all appurtenances thereunto belonging along,
over, under, upon, across and through certain property, owned by Clifford Schnieders, Mary
Schnieders, Fred Schnieders, Beverly Schnieders, Ted Harr and Kathryn Harr, described
more particularly in Exhibit A, which is attached hereto and by this reference incorporated
herein as if more fully and completely set out. The purpose of acquiring such an easement
is for constructing the project commonly known as Jefferson City Convention Center.
Section 2. The City Council does hereby authorize the City Counselor to acquire said
• easements by purchase or condemnation, including the authorization to file a petition for
condemnation and to pursue such condemnation. The price to be paid in the event of
purchase is not to exceed the appraised value of the property by more than fifteen percent.
In the event of condemnation, the price to be paid shall be as set forth by the Court.
Section 3. This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after the date of
its passage and approval.

EXHIBIT A
LEGAL DESCRIPTION
The westerly 55 feet of Lots 1 and 2 of Inlot No. 573, Price's Central Subdivision
of the City of Jefferson, Missouri, more particularly described as follows:
Beginning at the northwesterly corner of said Lot No. 1; thence southerly 50 feet,
to the southerly boundary line of Lot No. 2; thence easterly along said boundary line, 55
feet; thence northerly parallel with Broadway Street, 50 feet, to McCarty Street; thence
westerly along McCarty Street, 55 feet, to the point of beginning.
All in the City of Jefferson, Missouri.
Subject to the unpaid balance of a Deed of Trust in favor of Alice Beverly Fitzgerald,
of record in Book 152, page 753,Cole County Recorder's Office,which the grantees herein
assume and agree.to pay.
