A RESOLUiION OF THF INCORPORATED CITY OF LYNWOOD
ESTABLISHING TAX DISTRICT NUMBER 1 OF SAID CITY,
FIXING THE RATES OF TAXES, AND LEVYING TAXES FOR
THE FISCAL Y�AR BP;GIPINING JULY l, 19�0, A�D ENDING
JUNE 30, 19�1.
The City Council of the City of I,ym.NOOd, California, does
hereby resolve as follows:
Section 1. Tax District No. l. That for the purpose of
taxation, all of that territory and lands lying and being in the cor-
porate limits of the City of Lynwood, California, prior to February
1, 1969, be known as and constitute Tax District No. 1 of said city.
Section 2. That the amount of money necessary to be raised
by taxation upon the taxable property within the corporate limits of
the City of Lynwood, County of Los Angeles, State of California, in
Tax llistrict No. 1 of said city, to provide for carrying on the
various functions of municipal government in said city for the
fiscal year beginning July 1, 1970, and endin� June 30, 1971, is
hereby fixed at the sum of Five Hundred Eighty Thousand Five
Hundred Two and Thirteen Hundredths Dollars ($580 ,502.13).
Section 3. That in addition to the amount of money
necessary to be raised as aforesaid, the amount of money necessary
to be raised by taxation upon the taxable property within the corporate
limits of said city in Tax District No. 1 of said city to provide
for the payment to the State Employees' P,etirement System according
to the terms of contract with the State of California for making
the officials and employees of the City of Lynwood members of the
State Employees' Retirement System, authority for the executiori of
said contract as granted by Ordinance No. 426, adopted by a vote
of the qualified electors of the City of Lynwood the 16th day of
April 1946 for the fiscal year beginning July 1, 1970, and ending
June 30, 1971, is hereby fixed at the sum of One Hundred Eighty-four
Thousand Two Hundred Twenty-four and Sixty-eight Hundredths Dollars
($184,224.68).

Section 4 . That for the purpose of raising the sum of
money necessary to be raised by taxation upon the taxable property
within the city limits of said City of Lynwood as the revenue to
carry on the functions of the various departments of said city, to
provide payment to State Employees' Retirement Fund as authorized in
Ordinance No. 426, the rates of taxes are hereby fixed and taxes are
hereby levied on all taxable property within the city limits of said
city included in Tax District No. 1, for the fiscal year beginning
July l, 1970, and ending June 30, 1971, upon each $100.00 of the
assessed value of said property as assessed by the County Assessor
and equalized by the Board of Supervisors of the County of Los Angeles,

Section 5 . Pursuant to the provisions of Ordinance No.
608, adopted by the City Council of said city on the 16th day of February,
1954, the City Council does further resolve that the City Treasurer
has filed with it a report that there is in the "Swimming Pool Bonds,
1954, Interest and Redemption Fund" of the treasury of said city,
a sum sufficient to pay the interest on said bonds as it falls
due, and such part of the principal as"will become due £or the fiscal
year beginning July l, 1970 and ending June 30, 1g71.
Section 6 . The Cit,y Clerk is hereby directed to forward
immediately to the County-Auditor-Controller of Los Angeles County
a certified copy of this resolution.
Section � . That the City Clerk of said cit� shall certify
to the adoption o£ this resolution and cause the same to be published
once in the Lynwood Press, a weekly newspaper of general circulation,

published and circulated in said City of Lynwood.
