RESOLUTION OF INTENTION BY THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF LYNWOOD, CALIFORNIA, DECLARING
IT TO BE ITS INTENTION TO VACATE AND ABANDON
FOR PUBLIC PURPOSES THAT PORTION OF CENTURY
BOULEVARD, 42 F'EET WIDE, LYING ADJACENT TO
LOT 11 OF TRACT N0, 20680, MAP BOOK 552, PAGES
�k, 5, AND 6, RECORDS OF LO,S ANGELES COUNTY,
The City C�uncil of the City of Lynwood, California
hereby resolves and ordains as £'ollowu:
Section l : That portion o£ Century Boulevard, 42 feet
wide, lying adjacent to Lot 11 of Tract No, 20680, Map Book 552,
Pages 4, 5, and 6, Records of Los Angeles County, within the
corporate limits oP the City of Lynwood, is unnecessary for
present or prospective public street purposes, and that the
public interest, necessity, and convenience require and the
Gity Council of said city hereby declares its intention to
vacate and abandon that portion of said street.
Section 2 : That said portion of street is above
described, being iri the City of Lynwood, is shown on the official
map of the City of Lynwood, at the office of the City Clerk of
eaid city, to which all parties interested are referred for
particulars as to the proposed vacation and abandonment.
Section 3 : That the City Council elects to proceed
in said vacation arid abandonment under Section 8300 to 8324,
inclusively, of the Streets and Highways Code of the �tate of
California, as amended.
Section 4 s The City C�uncil of the City of Lynwood
does hereby determine that the public canvenience and necessity
require that an easement be retained for construction and
maintenance of utility lines within the limits of the street
vacation, a,s described in Section 1. These proceedings are
taken subject to such ea.sement.
Section 5 : That the City Clerk of the City of
Lynwood is hereby directed to give and post, as required by
law, notice of the paseage of this Reaolution of Intention
and give therein tYie legal description of said street proposed
to be vacated and abandoned, and apecify the time and place of
hearing of this Resolution of Intention, which is her•eby fixed
as follows:
The hearing to be before the City Council of the City
of Lynwood, at 11330 Bullis Road, in the City Council Chambers
of the City Hall of said City of Lynwood, at the hour of 7:30 p,m,
o�clock, November 17,1970, at which time and place all persons
interested may appear and object or protest to the proposed
Vacation and abandonment of said street.
aection 6 : After the passing and adoption of this
Resolu�ion of Intention, the City of Lynwood shall forthwith
cause a eertified copy thereoF to be published once in the Lynwood
Press, a newspaper printed and circulated in the City of Lynwood,
California, passed and adopted at fhe regular Ocfober 20,1970,
meeting o£ the City Council of the City of Lynwood, Callfornia,
