A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LYNWOOD APPROVING
THE PRE-QUALIFICATION PROCESS OF CONTRACTORS FOR THE
CONSTRUCTION PHASE OF THE NEW CITY HALL COUNCIL CHAMBERS AND
CITY HALL• ANNEX BUILDINGS AND AUTHORIZING THE PUBLIC WORKS
DIRECTOR/CITY ENGINEER TO REQUEST QUALIFICATIONS FROM
CONTRACTORS AND PREPARE A PRE-QUALIFICATION BID LIST
WHEREAS, new City Hall Council Chambers and City Hall Annex building
represent a major investment for the City; and .
WHEREAS, when completed, these facilities wiil serve the community for at
least the next 40 to 50 years, and
WHEREAS, due to the size, type and nature of this project the City desires to
pre-qualify contractors for the construction phase of this project.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LYNWOOD DOES
HEREBY FIND, PROCLAIM, ORDER, AND RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. That the City Council approves the pre-qualification process of
contractors for the construction phase of New City Hall Councii Ch and City Hall
Annex buildings. ,
Section 2. That the Director of Pubiic Works/City Engineer is authorized to
issue a Request for Pre-qualification for the construction phase of the New City Hall
Council Chambers and City Hall Annex buildings.
Section 3. That this Resolution shall take effect immediately upon its adoption.
Section 4. The City Clerk shall certify as to the adoption of this Resolution.
PASSED, APPROVED and ADOPTED this 7 day of September, 2010.
