A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF LYNWOOD AUTHORIZING THE SELECTION OF
GANNETT FLEMING, INC. TO CONDUCT A SCREENING LEVEL PHASE II
ASSESSMENT LOCATED NORTH OF THE 105 FREEWAY, WEST OF STATE
STREET, AND SOUTH OF IMPERIAL HIGHWAY
WHEREAS, the City of Lynwood ("City") is a general law city organized and
existing under the laws of the State of California, and
WHEREAS, the City has received an EPA Assessment Grant to conduct a
Screening Level Phase II Assessment for the area located North of the 105 Freeway,
West of State Street, and South of Imperial Highway; and
WHEREAS, there is a need to complete the assessment plan to determine if
there are any environmental issues impacting the residents, who the Responsible Party
may be for the environmental issues, and ultimately how to remediate the environmental
issues, if any
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL AS
FOLLOWS:
Section 1. The City Council has declared its intention, to enter into a contract
with Gannett Fleming, Inc. to conduct the Screening Level Phase II
Section 2. The City Councii does not anticipate any fiscal impact from the
issuance of this award of an agreement to assess the properties, will be paid for from
the EPA assessment grant. Any further costs to assess or remediate the sites will be
paid for by the Responsible Parties.
Section 3. The City Council hereby authorizes the City Manager to execute
the contract with Gannett Fleming, Inc. to conduct the screening level phase II in a form
approved by the City Attorney
