RESOLVLL, that the �ity Council of the City of Lynwood does
hereby adopt tt,e following amendment to Rule PJumber VII, Section 7,
of the Personnel Rules and Regulations.
Section l . Rule Ilu�;�ber ,iII Section 7, is liereby am�rid�d
to read as follows:
"Section 7. Noti£ication of examination results Each
candidate in an e:camination shall be given written notice of the
results thereof, and if successful, of his final earned score and
rank'-on the emplcyment-l-iat.- -- _ _ _ ___ .. _ __. _. _�
"Any candidate skiall ha�ae the �ight to appeal his final
earned score and rank on the employment list. The appeal period shall
be set down in writin� in another ser_tio?z of the Fersonnel Ru1es and
Regulations."
Section 2 . Rule Dlumber ViI, Section 7.1 is hereby amended
to read as £ollows:
"Section 7.1 Appeal Feriod After the applicant has been
notified of his score, an appeal period of five (5) worl: days is
'"- allowed in which he may challange the examination results and the _.
, method o£ computation in acoring the test. An additiorial
five (5) �aorl: days rnay be granted by the Personnel Officer i£ the
candidate is unaUle to make the appeal in the time specified due to
a verified extremely er.tenuating circv-mstance. During the appeal
period, the applicant may file a protest against any part of the
written test, citing the question or questions against which the protest
is directed and his reason £or protesting. Such an appeal shall be
dir°cted to the Personnel Board and shall be in writing in the form
