� RESOLUTION N0. 69-16
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
, LYNWOOD PROTESTING A PORTION OF ANNEXATION N0. 162
AND INITIATING PROCEEDINGS FOR P90NA BOULEVARD
ANNEXATION N0. 1
The City Council of the City. of Lynwood does hereby.resolve
as follows: �
WHEREAS, the City of Compton has initiated annexation pro-
ceedings for an area south and west of, the current city boundaries,
Annexation 162, and,_ •
.WHEREAS, a portion of this annexation involves an area'
which is surrounded on -�the.north,. east and south by the City of
Lynwood, an area which could more easily be served by the City of
. I
Lynwood, and
WHEREAS, this same area is to.be developed as an industrial
park, the majority. of which will be within the City of Lynwood, and
WHEREAS, the area in question has no physical or conditional
relevance to the rest of Comptbri Annexation No. 162.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the
City of Lynwood formally protest that portion of the City of Compton
Annexation No. 162 which lies east of Mona Boulevard between 1T8th
Street and 119th Street.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that as an alternate proposal the
City Council of the City of Lynwood agrees to initiate annexation
proceedings for this same area in question, an annexation entitled,
"Mona Annexation No. 1 of the City of Lynwood."
