RESOLUTION NO. 15-9005
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE
CITY OPA-LOCKA, FLORIDA, DIRECTING THE CITY
MANAGER TO PROVIDE THE CITY COMMISSION WTIH
THE EXISTENT CODE COMPLIANCE PROCESS FOR
APARTMENT BUILDINGS; PROVIDING FOR
INCORPORATION OF RECITALS; PROVIDING FOR AN
EFFECTIVE DATE
WHEREAS, The City has numerous apartment buildings within its
jurisdiction; and
WHEREAS, The City has a duty to insure that these apartment buildings
comply with the City's building code.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT DULY RESOLVED THAT THE CITY
COMMISSION FOR THE CITY OF OPA LOCAK, FLORIDA:
Section 1. The recitals to the preamble herein are incorporated by reference.
Section 2. The City Manager is hereby directed to provide the City
Commission with the existent code compliance process for the interior and
exterior of apartment buildings; if no such process exist, the City Manager
hereby directed to create a code compliance process within 60 days.
Section 3. The City Manger is hereby further directed to provide a report of
his progress to the City Commission within 60 days of the effective date of
this Resolution.
Section4. This resolution shall take effect immediately upon adoption.
