RESOLUTION OVERRULING PROTESTS AND DETERMINING
� THAT T HE CITY COUNCIL HAS ACQUIRED JURISDICTION
� TO ORDER THE PROPOSED WORK OR'IMPROVEMENT IN THE
MATTER OF THE IMPROVEMENT OF LOS_F`LORES BOULEVARD
HETWEEN LONG SEACH.BOULEVARD AND IMPERIAL HIGHWAY,
� BY THE REMOVAL OF EXISTING CURB AND GUT'I`ER AND BY
THE CONSTRUCTION OF CONCRETE CURB AND GUTTER,
. DRIVEWAY APPROACHES, AND SIDEWALK, TOGETI-lER WITH
ALL INCIDENTAL'AND_APPURTENANT WORK.
WHEREAS, the City Council of the�City of Lynwood did on
• ths l6th day of April 1968 ,�adopt its Resolution of Intention No.
68-26 ordering the improvement of Los Flores Boulevard between '.
Long Beach Boulevard and Imperial Highwa.y, by the removal o£ .
existing curb and gutter and by.the construction of concrete curb '
and gutter, driveway approaches, and.sidewalk, together with all .
incidental and appurtenant work, and �� '
• WHEREAS, Tuesday, the 21st day of May, 1968 at the hour
of 7:30 p.m, in the Council Chambers 'in the City Hall in said
' City of Lynwood was the time ancl place set in said Resolution.�f .
Intention when and where any objections to the proposed work or
''' improvement, or to the extent_qf the district to be assessed, or
to the,grades to which the work.was proposed to be done would be
heard by said City.Council, and
WHEREAS, the City`Clerk of said city has heretpfore
presented and filed an aff'idavit,of'publication of said RESOlution
of Intention, showing that the same was publishEd according to"�law, ' �
and ,
WHEREAS, said City Clerk has also presented and filed her
-. affidavit�of mailing notices of the adoption of, said Resolution of
Intention in the time, form, and manner,.and to the persons, a.11
,', � as provided by an Act of .the Legislature of the State of California,
designated as Division 7 of the Streets and Highways Code, and cited
�' as the "Improvement Act o£ 1911,"'and amendments thereto, and �
• • WHEREAS, the City Engineer-Superintendent of Streets•has.. .•, � ,
heretofore presented and filed an affidavit showing the notice o£
the passage of said Resolution'of Intention has been;posted in fhe ,.��
manner provided by said Act and

, WHEREAS, at•sai-d hearing held'on the 21st day of May,
1968, 28 protests werefiled against any of the thinga' proposed
.to be done urider said Resolution of Intention No, 68-26. �
; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of
the City of Lyniaood that said pr.otests are_ hereby overruled and
•• ` thaf the'said City Council has acquired full jurisdiction to
order the proposed work or improvement.
